Telecommunications Without Borders – Odessa, August 21-23, 2006

Ericpol Telecom takes part in the 3rd International Symposium ‘Telecommunications without borders’ held in Odessa, Ukraine, 21-23.08.06. The symposium is co-organized by the Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications named after A.S. Popov.

On the first day of the conference Ericpol Telecom will give a presentation on ‘Fixed and mobile convergence: How SDP makes it a reality’.

‘The eastern market is full of potential and very dynamic. It develops quite intensively on the technological front, picking up on the latest European solutions. Meeting the most important participants and creators of this market at the Odessa Academy, an institution of a long-standing tradition, gives us an excellent opportunity to exchange information and knowledge of different markets and technologies’, believes Director Walter Zieliński from Ericpol Telecom.

The 3-day conference in Odessa will focus on the following topics: telecommunications networks and systems, information technologies in e-space (е-government, е-business, е-medicine and е-education), company management and market regulations.

The Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications named after A.S. Popov is one of the best educational centres training telecommunications engineers and specialists in Eastern Europe.

Ericpol Telecom has been present in Ukraine since May, 2004 when its subsidiary company was established in Lviv. The subsidiary now employs 40 engineers, specialists in the field of telecommunications and information technology.

The organizers of the symposium are expecting 350 participants from all over the world, particularly from Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.
