7 March 2007
At the 3rd edition of the Academic Computer Science Festival, held at the Cracow University of Economics (CUE) in Cracow on 8-10 March 2007, an hour-long-lecture followed by a discussion on the prospects for further development of the IMS technology will be given by Walter Zieliński, Ericpol Telecom CTO. The lecture will be delivered in English.
IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) is a key element of the 3G architecture which provides access to Web services via mobile phones. Its main focus is on creating services allowing media provisioning through the convergence of different access types, e.g. IPTV, WWW and telecommunications systems. The widespread interest in the IMS technology among telecommunications providers and operators signifies the growth of interpersonal communications on an unprecedented scale, both in terms of the transmitted content and the almost boundless choice of access.
Computer Science Festival, of which Ericpol Telecom is a silver sponsor, will take place for the third time on 8-10 March 2007 in Cracow. The Festival is the biggest conference of the ICT industry organized in Central and Eastern Europe.
Come and take part in the Festival!
