Free application eWUŚ for your mobile
21 December 2012
Ericpol, producer of the drEryk and ErLab medical industry software, has developed a version of the eWUŚ system which is now available in the form of a free-of-charge smartphone application. This application has been designed with a view to facilitating the work of medical staff in situations where traditional online access to the eWUŚ system is unavailable.
According to the latest amendment to the Act on Publicly Funded Healthcare Services, as of January 2013, healthcare providers and doctors will have the possibility to verify each patient’s eligibility for healthcare services via a specialized Internet solution. To this end, the National Health Fund has launched the national system for electronic verification of beneficiaries’ eligibility, also known as the eWUŚ. The system will allow any physician to immediately check the current status of their patient’s medical insurance from their office, simply by entering the patient’s PESEL number into the system.
Ericpol has developed a mobile version of this application which will allow doctors to verify the required data in situations such as e.g. house calls. The mobile version of the eWUŚ system is the second product of this type developed by the Łódź-based company – in early 2012, Ericpol designed a mobile index of reimbursed drugs included in the Characteristic of Medicinal Product (ChPL), which allows for a quick and efficient search for less expensive substitute drugs.
‘The mobile versions of eWUŚ and ChPL are very useful in practice. I believe all doctors of medicine will appreciate the convenience of using these applications’, explains Rafał Kacorzyk, a GP and a member of the Board of College of General Practitioners in Poland.
Both mobile applications are available to free download at dreryk.pl website.
