Ericpol moves up “The Software 500 ranking”
18 September 2013
It is the third time in a row that Ericpol has been listed in “The Software 500” ranking of the largest software and IT service providers in the world. In the 31st ranking, which is prepared annually by Software Magazine, the Łódź company moved up 13 places.
The main criterion, on the basis of which “The Software 500” ranking is created, is the financial results of medium and large IT companies in 2012. This covers the profits from the sale of licenses, support and maintenance services, training courses, and consulting and other services associated with software.
Ericpol, as the only such company in Poland, having profits of $79 million, took 299th place, moving up from 312th place. Moreover, it took 30th place among private companies (moving up from 34th place), 28th place among European companies (moving up from 35th place) and 12th place among the companies that provide outsourcing software and services (moving up from 13th place).
– The fact that our company is gradually moving up in the global ranking is both inspirational and motivating. It proves that we are an effective business partner and that our customers find us trustworthy – says Paweł Szczerkowski, CEO of Ericpol.
For three years the top places in the ranking have been invariably taken by such companies as IBM, Microsoft and HP.
The value of the profits of all the companies listed in the ranking amounted to $672.9 million, which is a 4.5 percent increase in comparison with the previous year. The total number of employees of the ranked companies is almost 4.9 million, which is an almost 10 percent increase compared to the previous year.
“Software 500” is directed to heads of IT companies and managing staff. It also mirrors the condition of the ranked companies, as well as the sector’s dynamics. The ranking is also a source of information and reference for large organizations looking for reliable business partners.
