7 September 2015
Ericpol has been honoured with the Henryk Grohman Award by the Łodź Special Economic Zone as a “Patron and Investor”. in appreciation of the Company’s cooperation with the Academy of Arts in Łodź in the creation of murals that adorn the interior of the newly opened office building of Ericpol Software Pool in Łodź.
The work on the murals started in the autumn of 2013. The authors are four gifted artists of the Academy: Natalia Grabowska, Bolesław Godziński, Marcin Wilkoszewski and Maciej Bielewicz. Thanks to their efforts the walls of the four floors of the building were decorated with 100 figures, including: Ada Lovelace, Marek Edelman, Hugon Steinhouse, Ernest Malinowski, Grace Hooper, and Ignacy Łukasiewicz, all in a street art style. The Company’s intention was to make these figures of Łodź, Poland and the world more familiar to the public. They changed communication and people’s way of thinking. The main function of the pictures is to interact with the viewer and encourage reflection on the creative potential of the human race.
The award ceremony took place on the 7th September at the Grohman Factory that houses the head office of the Łodź Special Economic Zone (LSEZ). The certificate and statuette was presented by Tomasz Sadzyński, President of LSEZ Marek Gajowniczek, Director for Programs at Ericpol. – Łodź is an fantastic place where incredibly talented people live and work. We are very happy that our work is benefiting local communities and that it is gaining wider recognition – Marek Gajowniczek comments.
The Henryk Grohman Award was established in 2012 by LZEZ and is presented in two categories: Patron and Investor and Important for Łodź. It honours artists and entrepreneurs who invest in art. It is meant to encourage patronage and instil corporate social responsibility.
