Przemysław Gamdzyk

A former Computerworld journalist and editor with years of seniority. He was employed later as IDG Business Media’s Manager of Conference Department. Przemysław Gamdzyk graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics at the University of Warsaw and is a post-graduate of Social Communication studies organised by the Polish Academy of Science’s Institute of Literary Research and the Polish Foundation for Science Advancement.

As the Senior Manager at Deutsche Telekom’s International Machine-to-Machine Competence Centre, Nicolas Kireeff is responsible for the development of the international partner program for cooperation with suppliers of M2M solutions for e.g. the automotive industry, transportation and logistics. Prior to joining the International Machine-to-Machine Competence Centre, Nicolas Kireeff had several manager positions at international suppliers of telematics services. Nicolas graduated from the University of Siegen, Germany.

Moreover, she is a practising protagonist of homeschooling, a member of the board of Stowarzyszenie Edukacji w Rodzinie (the Society of Education in Families) and a co-author of the book Edukacja domowa w Polsce (Homeschooling in Poland).

Responsible for the HR and organisational development of the teleinformatic networks business at Ericsson, a company with 26 thousand employees worldwide. Previously, he was employed as the HR & Organisation Development Director at Saab Technology, a leading Scandinavian aerospace and electronic defence systems manufacturer with over 11 thousand employees. He began his career with various security policy-related functions in the Swedish state administration. He was also a management business counsellor and an Interim Manager. Tomas Qvist has a profound experience in managing large scale organisational changes, as well as in safety management and risk evaluation.

Maciej Smagacz

Graduated from the Faculty of Electronics at the University of Science and Technology in Krakow. He earned his first professional experience at a Polish-Dutch company by participating on database development, followed by 10 years of work at Ericsson in the UK and Spain. Maciej Smagacz also managed design and implementation teams working on large-scale projects for the biggest telecom suppliers and operators in Europe and around the globe. He is also a winner of numerous awards, a moderator and a participant of innovation programs for the optimisation of project management methods and production processes. He is currently managing an organisation of 200 persons responsible for project deployment in ten-odd countries in Europe and in the world. He is also a great protagonist of teamwork and a creator of new solutions.

Over 30 years of experience in the IT industry; a member of the Stefan Banach International Award Jury and the Tischner European University’s Council of Patrons. He earned a Master Engineer in Engineering Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Doug Solomon

Doug Solomon is the Chief Technology Officer at IDEO, a consulting company, working with clients to apply technologies that create both business and social innovation. With over 25 years of experience as an IT manager, Doug is particularly interested in technologies which enhance collaboration and enable greater community engagement.
Prior to his career at IDEO, Doug was he was vice president of investments at Omidyar Network, where he helped introduce new guidelines for socially responsible investing. He was also senior vice president of corporate development and chief strategy officer at both Apple and Palm, and he held leadership positions at Interval Research and several technology start-ups. In the beginning of his career, Doug applied marketing and other business concepts to public health programs in Asia, where he learned the importance of cultural awareness and community involvement in achieving lasting social change. Doug is a volunteer chaplain at Stanford Hospital & Clinics in Northern California, serves on the Board of Industry Advisors of the Consumer Electronics Association, and is an adviser to GAVI, the global organisation aiming to vaccinate all children around the world. He is married and a father of three childen. He earned a master’s degree from the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii and a Ph.D. in communication research from Stanford University.

Paweł Szczerkowski graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

Robert Szewczyk

Robert Szewczyk has been involved in the growth of business in the IT industry for 10 years, beginning from R&D and project management to the development of training services sales. He was a co-founder of the Project Management Institute office in Łódź. He also helped create the e-Health Strategy of Łódź Voivodeship for the years 2007-2013. Graduated from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunication at the Technical University of Łódź, he currently takes a doctorate in the field automatic identification based on iris image recognition at the Department of Microelectronics and Computer Science of the Technical University of Łódź. His research in the field has been acknowledged with the Golden Medal at the 2nd World Cup of Computer Implemented Inventions.

Aleksander Wasiukiewicz

The director at the venture capital fund (EVF I) managed by Enterprise Investors (www.ei.com.pl). His professional specialisation is investing in the sectors of IT, telecommunication, the Internet, and the media. Before joining Enterprise Investors, Alek Wasiukiewicz worked for 7 years in the structures of Nokia Corp. e.g. at Nokia Ventures Organization, where he was a leader in investment into Jaiku.com, which was purchased by Google in 2007. He is a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology (Faculty of Electronics) and INSEAD (MBA).

Marek Stawiński

Marek Stawinski is Vice President Enterprise Architecture at UPC Broadband. Marek joint UPC in 2000 with responsibility for establishing IT Architecture organization supporting M&A and Triple Play strategy. Marek leads initiatives with objective to maximize agility and cost effectiveness of IT systems at UPC European footprint. Prior UPC Marek worked at ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands where he was leading IT Architecture task force with the objective to create IT Architecture organization for the whole ABN AMRO Enterprise. Marek became in 1999, as VP IT Architecture, the first Chief Domain Architect at ABN AMRO Bank Enterprise in the retail banking division in the Netherlands. Marek was also leading the Corporate Architecture Team responsible for  Web Architecture strategy world wide. Prior ABN AMRO Bank Marek worked for almost eleven years at the R&D department of leading Dutch PC manufacture company, where he was responsible for Operating Systems and Networks team. In that capacity Marek was responsible for technical relationships with Microsoft and was involved in major Microsoft PC software initiatives. Marek is an author of one patent. Marek holds a MSc electronics from Technical University in Krakow.
