Ericpol implements the Automotive standard-SPICE
9 March 2015
Ericpol has implemented a new model of managing automotive projects. Starting from February, all activities concerning project management, configuration and the areas of quality and engineering are A-SPICE-compliant.
Ericpol has implemented processes based on the tenets of the A-SPICE standard due to the increased number and importance of its automotive projects. The A-SPICE standard evaluates the maturity of the processes implemented by corporations and assigns them to five different levels. Using these processes guarantees that the final product or software will be of the highest quality and that its technical specification will be up-to-date, and assists in discovering potential mistakes at an early stage of production. Working in compliance with the A-SPICE standard is important due to the fact that some automotive manufacturers refuse to work with suppliers who do not meet the requirements for a certain level.
Based on its many years of experience in the automotive market, Ericpol has created its own standard-compliant processes. In the coming months, the correctness of the implemented processes will be evaluated by assessors. A certificate received based on these evaluations will formally confirm Ericpol’s ability to create software in the automotive field.
