Ericpol establishes EIT Health InnoStars e.V.
14 October 2015
On 9 October EIT Health InnoStars e.V. was registered – an organisation embracing EIT Health’s partners from emerging regions. Among the founders there was Ericpol with its partners: the Medical University of Lodz and the Institute of Occupational Medicine named after Professor J. Nofer in Lodz.
The organisation began life on 14 September 2015 during the founding meeting of its partners. On this day a Supervisory Board was appointed with, among others, Marek Gajowniczek, Cross-Functional Programmes Director at Ericpol.
One of the first joint undertakings of EIT Health’s partners from Poland was the organisation of workshops titled “Effective systems of preventive care for employees”. The meeting is to be held on 12-13 October in Lodz at the Educational Centre of the Medical University of Lodz at ul. Pomorska 251.
– The workshops are devoted to the exchange of information and the creation of proposals of joint European projects with the aim to improve working conditions for ageing societies. Occupational medicine physicians have the best overview of workers’ health conditions, and ICT technologies are necessary to implement the solutions developed. Hence our presence at this creative meeting of specialists from various fields, said Marek Gajowniczek.
EIT Health is a European community of knowledge and innovations with the aim of improving quality of life. EIT Health focuses its activities on improving and promoting a healthy lifestyle and active ageing. The organisation develops projects regarding, among others, modern treatment methods, support for innovative medical businesses or preventive and educational activities. 6 ‘collocation centres’ located in London, Stockholm, Barcelona, Paris, Heidelberg and Rotterdam operate under this initiative, as does the organisation EIT Health InnoStars comprised of EIT Health’s partners from Croatia, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Hungary and Wales.
