Ericpol employs 250 IT specialists

Ericpol is going to employ 250 IT specialists in its offices in Łódź and Krakow. Such great demand for new employees is the result of the growing number of orders from the public sector and expansion of the company to DACH markets (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
The company will employ experienced IT specialists, science graduates, and final-year students. The offer is aimed at programmers, mainly experienced in C/C++ and Java, testers, technical documentation specialists etc. Each candidate should speak English fluently enough to be able to communicate easily. New employees will use their skills to design and develop products such as, mobile applications, software for banks, or software supporting the document flow in companies.
Up to 150 people will be employed in Łódź. ‘We are starting to move to our new, larger company head office in November. The roof on the office building has already been completed. Work is now in progress on the facade. Soon, work in the interior is going to start,’ says Jan Malkiewicz, the company’s Marketing Manager.
The recruitment plans will be made easier to complete by the very popular Summer Internship Programme, which starts on July 1. This year, a record-breaking 2,300 applications were received for 80 places.
‘Trainees in Ericpol receive salaries. Students participate in the day-to-day operation of the company, in internal training sessions and social events. They have their own workplaces and are assigned mentors. They receive the necessary tools and their own tasks to complete. We would like them to use that time as effectively as possible. We have our own motives – after the programme is completed, we offer jobs to the best trainees,’ – explains Olga Błaszczyk, who is responsible for the Programme.
This is not the only initiative of Ericpol which is designed to assist students in Łódź and Krakow in finding their first job. From April to the end of May, young people in both cities are given the chance to attend the Ericpol Telecommunications Academy, which involves a series of lectures in telecommunications technologies of the past as well as the latest generation. The Academy ends with an exam. Graduates are presented with certificates. In addition, Summer Courses in C++ programming, which are aimed at students, start in July.
Ericpol is one of the leading Polish IT companies. However, in contrast to its competitors, 90% of its engineering work is exported. That is the distinguishing feature of the company. Our corporate culture, organization, and working in international teams have created a specific atmosphere, with a key element – cooperation.
‘In Ericpol, we attach great importance to encouraging a friendly atmosphere, the happiness of our employees, and a balance between their private and professional lives. An extensive social package like that in Ericpol is something you can find in many good companies. However, there is no substitute for a friendly atmosphere at work.’ – emphasizes Katarzyna Kmak-Tendera, Director of HR and Internal Communications Department.
