Ericpol’s presentation at GENIVI All Members Meeting

Ericpol Telecom as a first company among the GENIVI Alliance was ready to demonstrate a set of value added applications running on the GENIVI’s platform. The presentation was held on 19th-21st of October, 2010, Dearborn, Michigan, during GENIVI All Members Meeting.
Apart from technical session devoted to association’s aims, progress and the strategy, there were also three ‘showcase’ sessions arranged by GENIVI. The GENIVI Members had an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements related to the Alliance. One of the presentations was held in General Motors head office, Detroit, for visitors taking part in SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Convergence, gathering international automotive leaders.
Ericpol Telecom presented following applications:
- ARM based development board (Beagle Board) along with Meego IVI (Linux distribution, chosen as a base for GENIVI system),
- eVIG, Ericpol Vehicle Information Gateway (a platform for vehicle data gathering, processing and presentation)
- sleepDetector – an application related to car safety context
- carRentalService, an application supporting car rental services enabling on line car monitoring, presenting current car data (average speed, maximum speed, fuel and oil level) to the car rental staff.
Ericpol is a core member of the GENIVI Alliance since 2010. Ericpol is leading Test, Verification and Quality Assurance Dev Team. The GENIVI Alliance is a non-profit industry alliance committed to driving the broad adoption of based on open source In-Vehicle Infotainment reference platform. The whole automotive industry will benefit from the GENIVI platform, as it aims at resolving such crucial concerns as time-to-market or development costs. The GENIVI Alliance members are automotive and telecommunications companies such as BMW, GM, PSA, DELPHI, Magnetti Marelli, Continental, Intel, Nokia.
