Road bicycle is preferred, although mountain or trekking bike with slick tyres will also be fine. Please make sure that your bicycle is in good condition – we will have a mechanic in the support team, but spares will be limited. Especially check for a tyre wear, chain, bottom bracket and saddle mounts.
As the last part of the course will be after sunset, proper lighting is necessary. Carry a front & back light, with a new set of batteries, they’ll need to work for at least 2-3h.
Clothing – the ride is in the begining of the autumn, temperatures may range from 5 to 25 C deg. Warm, 3/4 shorts or long tights are usually a good idea, also long sleeve jersey or arm warmers are necessary. It might rain, so waterproof jacket or gilet is a necessity, they will also come handy for the descents in the first part of the course. Prepare spare set of clothing, in case it rains, to have a fresh change during rest stops.
Helmet is not compulsory, but common sense.
